Normandy, mail call

Post by Ostfront43 on Sat Aug 30, 2014 2:35 am

One of my older dio's I set up. One of my personal favorites.
Normandy, late June, 1944.
Early evening after a hard fought day of headgerow fighting. What is remaining of 3rd platoon gets a break and is pulled back off the line. While waiting for hot chow to arrive, mail caught up with 3rd platoon. As the names are called out for the lucky ones to come thier letters from home, a german POW is passing by. When the next name is called out, Schmidt! The POW calls out, ich bin hier! All eyes of 3rd platoon turn to the hapless POW.

Fantastic Job. The story line plays out perfectly and the set up is exquisite.

Great looking figures and Diorama. It sure does convey the storyline, very well.
