Wacht am Rhein

Post by Halftrack1 on Sun Sep 07, 2014 10:25 am

I have been meaning to post this shoot for a week, now its overdue. Last Monday Ken, Scott and myself met at a part close to Kens house in Ann Arbor, Mi. for the afternoon to do a little shoot. The weather held out and we got a nice little shoot done.

It is late Sept 1944 somewhere in northern Germany. The top secret location for ss Obergruppenfuhrer Priess's H.Q.

Priess has just been appointed to command the 1st ss Pz Corps and been permoted to Obergruppenfuhrer for the occasion.
Dietrich was Permoted to Oberstgruppenfuhrer and given Command of the Sixth Panzer Army for operation "Wacht am Rhein"
The Fuhrer clearly has not lost faith in Dietrich, however Dietrich has clearly lost faith in the latter. Priess is accompanied by a ss Staff  officer from Berlin. Hitler trusts nobody at this point in the game. His Spies' are everywhere.

Priess is at his new HQ checking out captured American equipment to be used by Otto Skorzeny's PZ Brigade 150. This was the Group of Germans Disguised as American using Allied Equipment. There primary mission was to get to the bridges and prevent them from being blown before the main force could reach them. most of this unit was captured and later shot as spies.

Say Mike,
That's what we do here, we want everyone to enjoy themselves here. If you were closer, you would have most definitely been asked to attend also. Say, maybe Slick7 and David could still do that setup they planned to do when they were over at the SAG..?? They could do it here. Smile
I would really like to see that,  now that I'm laidup for a couple of months.

Slick thanks a lot. However it was a joint effort with Myself, Scott and Ken. The only stuff that is mine are the Americans and the US. M3 with the 75mm in it., Pak 40 and crew and the 250/7 with her crew and the mortars. Everything else was Scotts and Kens.

Slick,

I own only the SS guards, the generals, 2 jeeps and the 37mm anti tank gun. Had my Rangers there, but don't use them. Maybe next time, hoping knee is well enough for me to shot before the snow hits.
