Tuskegee Airmen Uniforms
I'm quite sure that this is going to be a hard find, but here we go......
The quest has been for sometime now, I've been wanting to do some Tuskegee Airmen for a while now. But little to my surprise, there's little to none of these items to create the decent figure(s).
I want to do one for my uncle(passed couple years ago)who served with the Tuskegee Airmen Group during WWII. We called him Uncle Duke, I have articles of him receiving awards from statesmen for his service to his country.
I really would like to say "Thank You" to him and his fellow servicemen for what they've given us, by doing a couple of figures in their honor. Now, the quest is finding some equipment to get this ball rollin.
Does anyone know if that Airmen figure has come out yet or not.....?? The last time that I know, they showed photos of it. The items was right on spot for what I'm trying to do, but I haven't seen or heard anything of it being in the stores.....
The GIjoe ones, just won't cut it for me, my son has both of them. I gave them to him sometime ago, but the look is what I'm needing to show respect to those men who fought with their lives. So, you can guys let me know what would be good in that area.
Thank you for all of your help, an as always " HAPPY 1/6ing Fun"...!!

Say Scott,
Thanks for the input, that's one of two of them. That i give to my son, he has the B-24 Bomber also. There was a fighter pilot figure that one of the companies had mentioned soon to come out. But, no word on if it's push back, like other items reviewed earlier in the year.
Thanks again, your always willing to help those in need.

Which Company was going to do a Pilot release? I have seen "Skip" the B-17 pilot, that was out years ago, but, haven't heard of any since then. Also 21st had a Bomber crewman with a .50 caliber MG and a Fighter Pilot, but, those were eons ago.

Re: Tuskegee Airmen Uniforms
Couple months or so ago there was talk and photos of a fighter pilot, that was due to come out about this time. They had two types, one his signature card, the other was just regular type figure. It was an American pilot, think he may have been famous. Captain something, not to sure on the name for now....
Saw a thread on the SAG when I was a member there. Monkey Depot had pre-orders on it too.....

Say Jack,
I found the figure that I was talking about, it's Col. C.E Bud Anderson "Triple Ace" by Hobby Master 1/6 Legend Series. Is this figure still out for purchase if anyone knows....?? This has "all" the items that one would need to create what I'm doing.

Ken, I found him on the OSW and it looks like it hasn't made it out yet. I am sure that even the figure without the signed "plate" that this figure would be still crazy expensive.

jack,
Ya I know, I just want loose parts of it. Can't afford to spend large sums of money on one figure, can buy lots of loose parts and make two figures for that.....

Re: Tuskegee Airmen Uniforms
I know what you mean, Ken. I've just spent MY budget for a LONG time. It is WELL worth it though. I just paid for a major "transfer" of vehicles, troops and accessories for my German "Unit". I have to coordinate the transport of same with the transferring "Unit" in NJ. I hope to have this done in a couple of weeks or so.
